There’s no doubt that any Porsche 911 is a formidable track weapon. However, in the skilled hands of a professional driver like Patrick long, a vintage 1967 Porsche 911 S can be dangerously fast. Dangerous even to faster, more powerful cars. The video below, all 15 glorious minutes of it, was shot last week at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca during the 2014 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. From the viewpoint of Patrick’s visor cam you can watch and listen as he uses all 8100 rmps of the 911’s flat-six to chase down, faster more powerful opponents. At times, it’s more battle of Porsche against the track (watch his hands) than against other racers. Listen to that sound! Amazing that a 45+ year old car can take that kind of flogging.
