Security was pretty tight at the Porsche booth during the New York International Auto Show and understandably so. Not only was the all new 2014 GT3 on the stage, but thanks to a loan from Jerry Seinfeld’s collection, the first Porsche to ever be badged as a 911 sat just next to it. As a result, both Porsches were roped off and a security guard was posted next to Jerry’s 911 to keep the curious just far enough away (it’s a good bet that most of them didn’t realize they were looking at what was probably the most valuable car at the entire New York show).
Even more interesting than Jerry’s 911 was when we found out that the GT3 on stage is the only one in existence at the moment. As customer deliveries don’t start until some time this fall, Porsche could potentially still make some refinements before the GT3 goes into full blown production. With only one GT3 making the rounds globally there hasn’t been a ton of press access to the interior of this track monster, at least not that we’re aware of. This particular GT3 is a Euro spec car and thus the US version will look slightly different (most particularly the seats shown in this car are not yet available here in the States).

Fortunately, Porsche opened the doors for FLATSIXES.com photographer Mike Juergens and we have the shots for you above. Use the next button to page through the gallery and if you want to see a larger version of the image (for more detail) simply click on the image itself.

There weren’t any new surprises at the show. Information, pricing and specs for the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3 remain the same. We asked some detailed questions of Porsche’s head of GT cars Andreas Preuninger and should have those answers for you shortly. Enjoy the pics and let us know if you like this new gallery function that allows you to scroll through and still select larger images in the event you want to download for wallpaper of see more detail.

If any philanthropist would like to buy me a new GT3 I would be eternally grateful, it must be the best most desirable car in the world
When I clicked on arrow to advance picture, it kept showing same interior shot and you had to scroll down to get actual new picture.
Can you imbed arrows directly on picture? A lot more user friendly.
I continue to be amazed and pleased by the access you have and the diversity of coverage.
Keep up the great work.
Bill,
Great feedback, thanks! We'll see if we can adjust so that doesn't happen anymore. As for access and coverage, it's because of you (and all our other readers) that Porsche treats us so well.
Thanks again for reading!
Press day at the NY Auto Show is always a great time. Wish I still knew someone with credentials to get in on that day. Always the best time for excellent photo opportunities, enjoying the amenities and the chance to speak to the models!
Appreciate the photos, but definitely agree with Bill Moses about the aggravation of having to scroll down every time you advance to the next photo.
Thanks, Mark. We'll get it fixed. First time using the new gallery feature and we've run into a few bugs. The only one that persists, we think, is the one you and Bill are experiencing. If we can't correct it we'll go back to the old way of showing photos!!
Obviously no philanthropists rushing to buy me a GT3. I've got a BoxsterS (987 series) and recently tried out a Cayman, great looks but prefer a convertible. So boo-hoo, I'll dream on and buy a Lotto ticket.
@Bob,
Sorry! A Boxster S isn't a bad fall back position. :-)
thanks for sharing, where is the third pedal on the new GT3?
Of course security was tight, that is an amazing looking car. Great post on it.
