We’ve been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for nearly three years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. This week we’re taking a look at several iterations of Porsche’s awesome 911. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed our curated look at the Porsche market. Keep in mind, some of these Porsches could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

1. 1979 Porsche 911 Turbo ‘Ruf BTR III’ For Sale
If you want to get a Porsche nerd’s heart racing, just mention the wild and ingenious creations of the hot rodder Alois Ruf. Anything with the Ruf name is instantly given a higher level of respect than anything with ‘just a Porsche badge’. This gorgeous Maritime Blue 930 is no exception, featuring a 3.4-liter single turbo engine that pumps out far more power than it did as a factory fresh 911 SC. The car was recently subject of a full cosmetic restoration, stripped completely to bare metal and painted that most beautiful shade of blue. It’s expensive, but when are you going to find another one quite like it?

2. 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Targa For Sale
I’m always a sucker for 964 Targas. Using what amounts to the same lift-off top and rollover structure that Porsche first introduced back in 1967, this 964-generation car is an extreme rarity in the Porsche collector market. Only 3534 of these cars were built for worldwide production, and only 158 were imported to the US in 1990. You’ll hardly find another one for sale. This one looks exceptional in schwartz paint with 16″ D90 wheels. They carry a bit of odd proportions for a 964, but the Targa will always be rare.

3. Riviera Blue 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS For Sale
With just 2500 miles to its name, this GT3 RS needs to be purchased by someone who will stack miles on the odo. With the announcement of an improved GT3 RS, surely the old ones will start to come down in value, so you don’t need to worry about keeping it in pristine never-driven condition. Take your 500 horsepower to go, please.
Honestly, this car only made the list because of its spectacular Riviera Blue [a paint-to-sample color] paint job. This car looks fantastic in this shade, and if you can’t tell, we really like blue here at FlatSixes. This one is optioned out almost perfectly, with carbon bucket seats, clear tail lights, black painted wheels, and the Sport Chrono package.

4. 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet For Sale
I’m not usually much for Speed Yellow, but on this particular 993, I can’t think of a better color to fit it. With a GT2 wing on the back, and Ruf-replica fascia front and rear, this car looks absolutely stellar in a bright and eye-popping color. The combination of the bright yellow with the stark black top and bright silver 18″ BBS wheels is just perfection. While the car shows more than it goes, featuring a stock drivetrain, it’s got a full RS-specification suspension package, adjustable front and rear swaybars, and a Fabspeed performance exhaust to make it sound the part. With under 70,000 miles on the odometer, this one still has a long time to terrorize the streets.

5. 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo Race Car For Sale
Porsche has a long history of turbocharged racing cars, beginning back in the early 1970s and stretching through their 2017 Le Mans winning 919 Hybrid. The company really knows turbos and racing. This 996 Turbo started life as a street car, but has lived a long life of track action, and it looks like it would be a whole lot of fun for someone to continue racing. With a welded-in roll cage, this wouldn’t make a very good daily driver, unless your commute was to the race track and back. The parts look to be high quality, including JRZ remote reservoir coilover suspension, an AIM dash system, and Fabspeed exhaust. This car still uses a completely stock engine for reliability sake, and would make a great car for someone to step up their PCA DE game.
