Our Favorite Porsches on eBay: Volume 94

We’ve been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for over two years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. Keep in mind, some of these Porsches could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

1. 1983 Porsche 911 SC For Sale

A friend of ours sent us a link to this listing and we’ve been watching it ever since. There’s nothing out-of-the-ordinary about it (other than it’s exterior color of Pewter Metallic). In fact, it even has higher than average miles (183k+). What we like about it is its potential as a donor for a Leh Keen (or similar) Safari conversion. You’ll be reworking the paint and the motor during your build project so condition of both is not super important. Instead, what you have is a very straight, rust free 911 that could turn into a great build. Thanks for the tip, Brian!

2. 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera For Sale

We’re not usually fans of new models the first year they are introduced, but this 2005 911 Carrera is an exception. Not only does it look fantastic with its GT3 body parts sourced directly from Porsche, the seller has added a number of other nice upgrades (both cosmetic and performance related). If that weren’t enough, the seller plans to install a a new clutch kit and a Direct Oil Feed (DOF) IMS bearing lubrication system prior to the new owner taking delivery.

3. 1988 Porsche 944 Turbo For Sale

Ever since we started Project 944 GTS here on FLATSIXES.com I’ve become more and more interested in the 944 series as a whole. I think if we ever got serious about one, and were to pull the trigger on a purchase, it would have to be a 951 or 944 Turbo. This particular example is a 944 Turbo S. One of only 1875 built. Said to have had an engine rebuild in 2001, the Porsche comes with receipts totaling more than $26,000 documenting the build. In addition, the current owner has invested more than $4,000 in the last year alone including timing belt, water pump, ac compressor and more. The paint appears to need a little work, but mechanically, this appears to be a great 951 and then some.

4. 2011 Porsche Panamera Turbo For Sale

We need to replace our daily-driver sedan. Right now it’s a 2003 Mercedes E500 that just turned 90,000 miles. We’ve owned it since 2005 and don’t really like the idea of getting rid of it, but we’ve been keeping it at the beach for the past 6-years and the wear on it from the salt is starting to show. Having driven a number of different Panameras over the years we really like the Turbo. Not only is their plenty of space for our needs, but these Porsches are true rocket ships and perform well beyond what you would expect for such a large sedan. Let depreciation be your friend and you just might find a good bargain.

5. 1974 Porsche 914 Creamsicle For Sale

We’re big fans of the 1974 Porsche 914 Limited Editions or Can-Am cars. 1000 of them were produced, 500 in black and yellow (known as the bumblebee) and the other 500 were painted in ivory and red (known as the Creamsicle). This particular 914 is one of the latter. The seller doesn’t give a huge amount of information about this particular 914, but what does stand out is the possibility of an odometer discrepancy. While that’s definitely a potential issue if you’re thinking long-term collectibility, it’s also an opportunity. Assuming this 914 checks out, we would recommend using the odometer issue as a bargaining chip and seeing what type of pricing you can get.
