We’ve been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for over two years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. Keep in mind, some of these Porsches could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

1. 1972 Porsche 911T Targa For Sale
There’s hot and heavy bidding on this ’72 911T Targa said to have 96,885 original miles on the odometer. While the detailed listing mentions that the motor is original, they don’t specify the same thing on the transmission so I would want to look into that before bidding. Apparently stolen over 25-years ago, and the original VIN markings removed in an attempt to conceal the fact, this Porsche has a Massachusetts assigned VIN now. However, the seller has documentation about the theft and the original title and VIN. If you like your Porsches as drivers and you like them with a story (for negotiating benefits) this just might be the 911 for you.

2. 2004 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet For Sale
Brown is beautiful and Burgandy is better. At least that’s the way I feel about this Burgandy over tan 2004 996 Carrera S Cab. So many of these examples are silver or black it just gets boring. This 996 is for sale by the third owner. According to the listing it seems to have a solid service history, but still retains its original clutch and IMS bearing. So, budget for those when bidding and you should be all set.

3. 1960 Porsche 356 T5 Euro Twin Grill Coupe For Sale
Porsches were meant to be driven and driven regularly. However, with pricing for air-cooled and classic version through the roof, it’s hard to justify putting miles on a collectible version. But what about a driver’s car? That’s what this Porsche looks like. While definitely the recipient of an older restoration, it would be hard to consider it concours ready. That’s what we like about it. Sure, some of the gaps and panels need a little adjustments, but do you really care? For the right price this could be a unique daily driver that will turn heads everywhere you go.

4. Porsche 962 Race Car Jim Busby Go-Kart For Sale
We’ve featured these Jim Busby Porsche 962 karts before. In fact, this one sold to one of our readers just a few weeks ago. The cart we’re featuring this week is every bit as nice, it’s just been painted. As a result, there’s an opportunity here for someone to pick up one of these rare karts on the cheap and perhaps custom paint it to match their favorite livery or their own Porsche’s color combo. For those who want originality, it wouldn’t be too hard to go back to the simple BFGoodrich livery the Kart originally came equipped with.

5. 1993 Porsche 928 GTS For Sale
While not as rare as the 5-Spd Unicorns you see on sites like Willhoit (one of our long-term sponsors). This ’93 928 GTS is still a very rare beast in its own right. According to the seller its one of only 406 brought to the North American market between ’93 and ’95. While this Porsche does have a story (the nose was repainted after a mechanic drove it into tool cabinet in the shop) the seller says they have complete documentation on the incident including a receipt for $8,000 in paint work from one of only two Porsche Certified Body Shops in their state. With just under 65k miles, this looks like it could be a great find for a 928 enthusiast. In fact, with the lower asking price I would consider it a driver vs. a collectible and enjoy the hell out of it!
