Our Favorite Porsches For Sale This Week: Volume 138

We’ve been compiling some amazing Porsche models on the internet for over five years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing examples pop up now and again. This week we’re hoping to forget black, white, grey, and silver. For that reason, we’re featuring one of the colors Porsche does best, shades of brown! Hopefully you’ve enjoyed our “curated” look at the Porsche market. Keep in mind, some of these Porsches could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

INTERESTED IN HAVING YOUR PORSCHE FEATURED HERE?

Every other week, we feature 5 of our favorite Porsches for sale. That post is sent out to our mailing list of more than 17,000 Porsche owners and fans and is seen by tens of thousands of other readers who visit our site directly. If you’re selling a Porsche on eBay and would like to see it featured here, just shoot us an email with the details and we’ll be back in touch. Otherwise, feel free to check out all the other eBay listings we have on our Porsches for sale pages.

1. 1976 Porsche 911 S Signature Edition For Sale – Platinum Metallic

This is more of a muted gold color than a true brown, but it’s all in the same family, so we’ll count it. This is allegedly one of only 200 “Signature Edition” models ever built. I’ve been following Porsche for a very long time and I have not heard of such an edition before, but it looks very nice. This car has also received in-period turbo flares and a whale tail spoiler which were not applied at the factory. This isn’t a purely original car, but if you’re looking for a striking driver-grade car, this one might fit the bill.

2. 2008 Porsche Boxster For Sale – Macadamia Metallic

Macadamia Metallic has long been my favorite Porsche brown. It’s a gorgeous color to see in person with lots of depth and spectacular metallic flake. This particular car takes the brown to the next level with a full Cocoa interior. It’s a 5-speed manual base Boxster, which is an absolute joy to drive, and it has the best 997 Turbo-style wheels on. With just 44,000 miles on the odometer, this one has a lot of brown life ahead.

3. 1979 Porsche 928 Manual, Sunroof Delete For Sale – Mocha Brown

Early 928s are good. Early 928s with manual transmissions are better. Early 928s with manual transmissions and gorgeous brown paint are best. This low-mile example has recently been treated to a whole host of preventative maintenance procedures, and it’s ready for you to pick it up and live your chocolate-coated V8 grand touring fantasies. This comfy beast will haul you and a passenger across the country and have enough room for your bags, as well. You’ll love life in this thing, I can almost guarantee it. At least so long as it’s working.

4. 1968 Porsche 911 L Soft Window Targa For Sale – Sepia Brown

Long hood 911s are still quite valuable, and none quite so rare as the soft window targa. This option was only available in 67 and 68 as standard, and moved to a dealer order option in 1969 over safety concerns. Here in the U.S. market, all 1968 soft window cars were sold with a rear parcel shelf instead of rear seats. This car is shown with rear seats, so they were either added later, or this is a European delivery car. In any case, this gorgeous brown machine would look at home in any Porsche lover’s garage.

5. 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera For Sale – Bitter Chocolate

Saving perhaps the best for last is this spectacular impact bumper Carrera that is ready to rock and roll in two-tone brown. This car has lived its entire life in California, and was recently treated to a fresh restoration. I’m not going to say much more about this car, because I think it largely speaks for itself. What a beauty.
