We’ve been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for over two years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. This week’s mix is an eclectic collection of air-cooled, water-cooled, armored and scaled. One of which we’re pretty sure could literally crush any competition. Keep in mind, some of these Porsches could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.
1. 1975 Porscshe 911 Carrera For Sale
According to the seller this particular unicorn is just one of 395 produced in 1975 and, more impressively, one of just 30 in this color combination. Fresh out of long term storage, this ’75 911 Carrera shows 63,550 miles on the odometer but makes no mention of any service records to back that up. However, a close look at the pictures (especially the seat bolsters and pedals) seems to mesh with that mileage claim. In need of a “freshening” before driving, this 911 isn’t quite a time capsule but does have a lot of appeal to us for its purported originality, color combination and overall air cooled goodness. At time of posting, bidding is up to nearly $27k with 6-days remaining and the reserve not yet met.

2. 1997 Porsche 993 C2 RWB For Sale
The work of Akira Nakai is a bit polarizing in the Porsche world. People either seem to love what he does or hate it. Personally, I’m a fan and this is one of the least expensive RWBs we’ve seen for sale in a while. Not sure if that’s a good or bad indicator, but we thought it worth of a spot here in this week’s eBay finds. Built on a ’97 993 Carrera C2, this RWB is typical of most builds in that it’s heavy on the appearance package but lacking any significant power upgrades or other tuning. Regardless, we like the Grand Prix White over Bordeaux interior and there are some nice finishing touches on the inside that make this RWB a bit more attractive than others we’ve seen.

3. 2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet For Sale
If 2016 has been the year of the 996 Turbo it’s also the year that most have forgotten about the 2005 Turbo S variant. With a much shorter production run and fit as standard with the X50 power kit, the ’05 Turbo S came with bigger Turbos, Ceramic Brakes, a top speed of 190 mph and could get from zero to 60 in under 4.0 seconds. Not too shabby for a now 12-year old Porsche. This particular 996 Turbo S hasn’t even covered 40,000 miles and looks to be in reasonable shape. The “Car Fax” shows a minor accident that the seller describes as at $1000 bumper cover repair with receipts to prove it. Unfortunately, with that little “story” it will probably never be a true collector, but it could get you a good deal on the price.

4. Scalextric C1343T Porsche Power Slide Set For Sale
Ok, so it’s not a full size car by any means, but how else will you get the opportunity to drift a 997 GT3 RS for barely $100 and not end up in jail. I love slot cars and love Porsche slots even more. The beauty of the Scalextric sets are that you can easily extend the track configuration with “track extension kits” that are still readily available and reasonably priced. This set would be a great addition to your game room or garage! Act fast, though. There are only 3 sets remaining of the original 12.

5. 1980 Porsche Leopard Main Battle Tank For Sale
Okay, maybe it wasn’t built by Porsche, but Porsche did have a hand in the original design. So, if you’re looking to shock your neighbors, or just want to be the talk of the next Cars and Coffee meet up, this listing is for you. The seller says everything is “fully functional” and includes the latest “thermal battle sights”. We take this to mean that if you buy it, and can figure out how to get some rounds for it, you could start lobbing shells at your neighbors Ferrari from more than a mile away.
