We’ve been compiling some amazing Porsche models on eBay for over two years now, and we’ve seen some pretty astonishing cars pop up now and again. Keep in mind, some of these Porsches could be great collection investments, while others might prove to do more financial harm than good.

1. 1972 Porsche 911 R Tribute For Sale
According to the seller this 911 R Tribute started its life as a number matching 1972 911T. Kind of a shame to mess with an all original long-hood, but at least he built a tribute to another long-hood (a much more rare one at that) instead of a resto-mod. One of the many things I like about this Porsche, and the reason we included it in this week’s picks, is the fact that it’s being sold with NO RESERVE. As of publication, there are 20 bids with the highest at an even $50k. This 911 is going to sell and it will be fun to see where it ends up. The listing contains full build details (the majority of the “tribute” appears to be cosmetic) and tons and tons of pictures.

2. 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera For Sale
I’m a sucker for any 996 that’s not finished in Silver or Gray. This low mileage 996 wears a beautiful Midnight Blue Metallic paint job over what the seller describes as a Natural Brown full leather interior. With just over 19,000 miles, this is one of the lowest mileage, normally aspirated 996s we’ve seen in a while. Nicely optioned and appearing to be as nice as described, bidding for this 996 has already begun. Will it meet the reserve? I guess that depends on the seller’s expectations

3. 1982 Porsche 911 SC
Looking for that perfect donor car for your 911 Rally/Safari project? Look no further. The seller says they bought this SC with the intention of building a “backdate outlaw 911”. For whatever reason, that build was centered around a motor the seller has since sold. Described as a “number matching car”, the seller says this 911 was purchased out of “long-term-ownership” and was last registered in 2009. As a result, it has a number of issues normal to any air-cooled Porsche that sits for too long along with some interior repairs needed. The beauty of using this particular Porsche as a donor car, however, is that all the “issues” it has are things that would be fixed and fleshed out during the normal course of the build.

4. No Reserve 2012 Porsche Panamera For Sale
One of our daily drivers is an older E series Mercedes. While the car itself only has 80,000 miles on it, we keep it at our place at the beach and while we would like to drive it until the “wheels fall off” we think that might happen sooner vs. later due to the salt air. So, we’ve started looking for a Panamera as a possible replacement. This one stuck out simply because its the first one we’ve seen being sold without reserve. The seller describes it as a “low, low mileage” (I’m not sure 52k miles is low) one owner car. Apparently, the original owner really wanted a turbo as this Panamera has been outfitted with what the seller describes as a “Turbo S factory exterior decor trim package”. I’ll say this much, the black paint on this Panamera is so deep it seems to be camouflaged in most of the pictures.

5. 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet For Sale
The seller has a “Buy it Now” price of $17,900 which, on one hand is definitely high especially as described with a “few dings and blemishes”, but on the other hand it’s only traveled 31,000 miles and appears to have a full service history including a recent timing belt/water pump service at 30,120 miles. About that service, it was said to be completed in November of 2013. That means this 944 has covered less than 1000 miles in 3.5 years. While it looks nice, I would say a PPI is definitely warranted.
