Just last week we got to see Autocar Magazine’s Steve Sutcliffe toss a Macan Turbo S around the Porsche test track in Leipzig. He even received a reprimand for “drifting” on all season tires. After calling the Macan a “really fast, and really well composed” car we asked if the Macan Turbo isn’t more high riding Cayman than junior Cayenne. This week, Sutcliffe is back at it. This time, however, he compares the Macan S Diesel to what is sure to be one of its big competitors, the small and sporty Range Rover Evoque. How did our beloved Porsche do? Watch below and see for yourself.

The cayenne is still better. Both beautiful vehicles though.
As a life long died in the wool Porsche lover, collector and racer of 356s and early 911s, I hated the Cayenne and Panamera.
However I have just seen and sat in the Macan at the Geneva Motor Show and I am impressed. It is a reasonable size and quite attractive, lots of carrying capacity and great interior. If it drives as well as all the early reports say, it will be a deserved winner and I may end up owning one! By the way I think the RR Evoque is ugly so no contest there.
Bonne route,
