This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Jeff Zwart’s wild creation thrashed as it was intended. Over the last forty-five years, Jeff has hustled this lemon yellow 914 in a variety of events, though with few giveaways to its true heritage and power, it might fly under the radar of most. However, keen eyes might pick out the telltale badge or the flared steel fenders, and one glance at the focused interior—complete with a vintage rally computer—would leave no enthusiast wondering whether this diminutive demon was made of stronger stuff.
Peeking into the trunk, the shovel and fire extinguisher are signs of a life spent in competition. This is no poseur’s ride—but Jeff is about the furthest thing from a poseur you could find. A renowned director, photographer, racer, and world traveler; this man’s led a colorful life revolving around his passion for Porsches—hence holding onto this fragile relic for nearly half a century
Weighing just one ton and outputting 220 horsepower, this 914 really had to be competed with. This Porsche rallied from Panama to Alaska, drove through Europe, hillclimbed in New Zealand, and escorted Zwart through college. I’d wager prowling around his campus in a yellow, raucous 914-6 like this one made him a very popular man.

What a lovely story how Jeff bought the 914-6 and what a happy old man living the dream.
