All too often, videos like these do not have a happy ending. In fact, when this video first started, based on the way the driver pulled out and accelerated, I thought for sure this was going to show another imbecile driver with more money than skill. In fact, after the initial acceleration and subsequent engine revving I almost just pushed stop and went on looking for more videos in order to save myself that punched in the gut feeling after some idiot wrecks another Porsche 918 Spyder. For whatever reason, however, I didn’t. I stuck with it. I’m glad I did.
While there’s nothing very special about a car doing donuts, I get a particular kick out of a $1,000,000+ 918 Spyder owner tearing up their tires in wanton abandonment. Maybe the driver would argue he was just warming his tires for the upcoming autocross course. Regardless, it’s nice to see that not all 918s are garage queens and that the number of owners playing with their expensive toys is growing.

Looks like its wearing Monaco tags...so I guess he can afford new shoes when the soles wear thin..
