Porsche 993 vs. 997 GT3 On The Nürburgring Nordschleife

We create and curate as much Porsche content as we can here on FLATSIXES.com. With information coming from so many direction, even we miss things at times, like the video below. Originally published over 1-year ago, it’s still worth watching today. In fact, it’s another fantastic example of how driving skill/technique can overcome even massive horsepower differences. Watch as Sandro Ziegler and his Porsche 993 Carrera 4 (either 272 HP or 285 HP depending on year) challenges Norbert Nagy in his 2nd generation 997 GT3* (435 HP) on the Nordschleife. Ziegler’s hand work in the 993 is pretty slick. Oh yea, his 993 is on street tires (it might explain why he gets so loose at times) while the 997 is on some very sticky Michelins, making for an even more impressive performance.

After watching the video above, be sure to check out some of the other videos from the driver of the 993. Looks like Sandro uses his Porsche to its fullest potential.

*The title of the video claims the 997 is a GT3 RS. However, the owner of the GT3 contacted Sandro after the video was published an clarified that it was a “plain” 997.2 GT3.
