Last week was a busy one for the Porsche social media team. Besides preparing for the upcoming launch of the Cayman Code app, Porsche release 5 new videos on their YouTube channel. We don’t always cover them the minute they come out (some don’t really pertain to our audience) but we always like to catch up and post them when time allows.
Porsche Rennsport Australia Festival 2013
Great racing. Great cars. Great Porsche spirit. This sums up the Porsche Rennsport Australia Motor Racing Festival. Porsches old and new, from road and track, local and international, together with famous faces and enthusiasts filled Sydney Motorsport Park on the May 25-26 weekend in celebration of all things Porsche. This video provides a taste of the superb on-track action from a record number of competing Porsche cars, including the first Porsche Carrera Cup Australia ‘pro/am’ endurance races, Porsche historic sports car races and historic Porsche demonstrations including the factory’s own 1981 Le Mans-winning Porsche 936 and the 2005/6 class-winning American Le Mans Series LMP2 Porsche RS Spyder, along with a host of off-track activities to entertain the record crowd over the sunny weekend.

- 26-28 July – Silverstone Classic
- 9-11 August – Nürburgring Oldtimer Grand Prix
- 20-22 September – Spa Francorchamps – Spa 6 hours
- 11-13 October – Jerez Masters festival
Celebrating 50 years of Porsche 911 in Moscow
On May 3rd, the city of Moscow became a venue for the celebration of 50 years of Porsche 911. More than 130 Porsche 911s, led by Dr. Wolfgang Porsche on the very special “Follow the 911” model, drove through the city centre to demonstrate their passion for sportscars and later on witness the world premiere of the new Porsche 911 Turbo.
