Armed Kidnappers Use A Panamera In Failed Abduction Attempt

It seems like almost every car in Russia, and other former Eastern Bloc countries, has some sort of dash cam installed. For good reason, too. They capture more accidents and more automotive viral videos than any other region of the world I can think of. The video below is a great example.

According to the story we read on Carbuzz.com the incident below unfolded somewhere in Kiev, the capital city of Ukraine. A group of men, dressed in all black and brandishing pistols and machine guns, used a Panamera to block in another car while trying to forcibly extract its occupants. Apparently, despite shots being fired and multiple attempts to get at the driver, they were still able to get away. Skip ahead to 1:40 in the video below and you can see exactly what the owner of the dash cam did. Or, jump to the camera below which shows the whole scene from an bird’s eye view. Either way it’s pretty scary.

If you watch to the very end, you’ll eventually the two occupants in the rear get out and run-away right before the victim’s car speeds away (and the story we read says no one was seriously hurt). Carbuzz suggested this scene might have been a carjacking gone wrong. Personally, I don’t see it. Why would a bunch of heavily armed guys in a luxury performance sedan would want to steal a four-door econobox?

It was probably just a typical dispute over a parking space. 🙂
