In a surprise move today, Porsche announced a return to their agricultural roots with the debut of the Mission E Tractor.
Taking design cues from Porsche’s original mid 50s tractors this new vision for 21st Century agriculture incorporates the same advanced digital connectivity and 800v fast-charging architecture that powers the Mission E.
Typical of Porsche, expect the Mission E Tractor to be the fastest accelerating agricultural vehicle in the world. Power output is said to be north of 700 hp, all of it available instantly. Farmers are already placing deposits at dealers in anticipation of record breaking harvest times coupled with zero emissions and the need to wear those pesky ear protectors to drown out the noise of diesel engines.

The Mission E Tractor will also benefit from Porsche’s newly developed FastFarm App, designed to provide 24-hour satellite-based weather updates and a mobile farmers’ forum.

I prefer my 1961 Porsche-Diesel 109 Junior Schlepper. A blistering 15 PS, 1 cylinder, air-cooled, diesel powered thumper.

As a farmer myself, if true it would be great, you would not need any implements to plow or disc a paddock.
Just line up the tractor straight and release the 700 HP and let the back wheels do all the digging, i couldn't thing of more fun on the farm.
