A post last week on Jalopnik suggests that the country of Cambodia features a Porsche on their 500 riel note.
What Kind of Porsche is It?
The story goes onto to speculate that the front is from a 997 911 but the rest is all Cayman. The problem with this, as the article points out, is that no one (probably not even Porsche) knew what a finished Cayman would look like in 2004.
Cambodia is Becoming Porsche Friendly
Porsche recently announced their expansion into Cambodia with Lei Shing Hong Limited, a Hong Kong-based company that will be bringing the Porsche brand to Cambodia. The most popular model, given Cambodia’s limited roads and infrastructure, will probably be the Cayenne or the upcoming Macan. Using current conversion rates of 4040 Cambodian riels to $1 US Dollar you would need a stack of 400,774 Cambodian 500 riel notes to purchase a base Cayenne. That’s a stack of bills over 150 feet high!

Sometimes I think that Jalopnik likes to post a story just to see if anyone’s reading (and man are they). This might have been one of those times. To me, it looks more Mitsubishi vs. Porsche. What do you think?

Looks like a third-gen Eclipse with side scoops from an SN95 Mustang and the arse-end of an NSX. Or, maybe a Cayman.
that's a good breakdown. I definitely agree with the Eclipse front end. It's way to bulbous to be a Porsche.
