This Porsche Appears to Have Been Vandalized, But Is it Real?

This short video clip shows a young woman spray paint the word LOSER!!! onto the side of a 991.1 GT3 RS, as it sits parked on a city street, was recently posted to Instagram . It’s difficult to tell exactly what the story behind this video is. Is it real, or is it an attempt at a viral video?

For one thing, it was posted to Instagram by a company that specializes in clear bras and wraps without any mention of who originally captured the video, who owns the Porsche, or where it took place. For another, there isn’t any exchange between the person taking the video and the person doing the spray painting. The person filming just silently stands there watching the potential destruction of property. Even more telling, what appears to be a calm security guard walking nonchalantly toward the scene does nothing to deter the vandal. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, a company that manufactures clear protection films as well as FLATSIXES.com were both tagged in the video (to get our attention).

Is it possible that a company is trying to instigate a viral video to get their brand more awareness? Yes and perhaps likely. Is it possible that this young woman is angry at the owner of this Porsche and decided to take matters into her own hands? I’ve read and seen worse. The previous owner of my Boxster experienced a similar matter when a former paramour scratched across the fender, door, and rear quarter panel with a key. I would never condone vandalism, but I would definitely prefer spray paint that can potentially be removed with a cutting compound than a scratch to the bare metal that requires a repaint to repair.

So what are your thoughts?

Do you think this was set-up to drive attention and artificial likes (if so, we’re helping with this post), or was this a genuine video? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
