Magnus Walker and #277 In Accident!

Magnus Walker, and his now iconic #277 Porsche, were traveling today for a rally and grand opening event with Porsche of Minneapolis. Unfortunately, it looks like everyone’s favorite Outlaw had a pretty bad day.

Fortunately, Magnus Is Unhurt!

While Magnus made it a point to post that he’s okay and #277 can be fixed, it’s unclear at this point what happened. Pictures are popping up on Instagram, Twitter and other social medial outlets with bits and pieces of info, but nothing concrete yet.

Right now, all we know is that #277 made contact with the side of transport truck. How that contact happened is anyone’s guess. One commenter on VWVortex said he thought that Magnus was trying to avoid hitting another car (possible a vintage MB) when he spun/crashed into the transport. However, that’s 2nd hand info at best. We’ve reached out to Magnus for the story and hope to have more for you once we hear back in more detail.

  • Good luck on hearing back from the guy! He seems to enjoy the attention that he gets (good for his business interests), but he doesn't really care much for anything nor anyone else!

    • That definitely hasn't been our experience. Magnus has gone out of his way to reach out to us both professionally and personally ever since we first met a few years ago.

    • Couldn't be farther from the truth. Magnus is one of the most genuine, friendly, and enthusiastic Porsche fanatics out there. While he certainly isn't doing anything to slow the media onslaught (can you really blame him?), the only reason he's become anything is because people demand his time, and he freely gives it.

He's such a generous person, and a lot of fun to talk to.

  • Haters will hate. I have met Magnus twice, couldn't have been a nicer car guy. Signed posters for me and my kids and signed others for 2 hours straight at the Mpls event.

  • I've driven Jaguars, Porsche's et al on that stretch of road and have always been tempted to pop a 4 wheel drift on the exact spot where Maximus "screwed the pooch" Lousy driving but even worse, was the complete absence of judgement to try to show off in an uncontrolled two way road. Traffic was coming both ways. Where were the adults at this "stunt". The bromide offered that "Maximus" was willing to sacrifice himself to avoid a head on with some poor guy going the other way is horse hockey...it was clear he had lost it and had also became a passenger, not a driver. Hopefully a lesson to take away is don't go for a ride around the block with Maxie Baby and don't go for a ride to Martha's Vineyard with a Kennedy...at least not till they bother to get instrument rated.
Both events were borderline prosecutable. .

  • Reckless driving " but some people say there was a women to blame but I know ...It was my own damn fault"

  • Sheesh, why is nearly everyone on here so NASTY?? I have met and chatted with Magnus and found him truly genuine, warm and friendly. He had nothing to gain from me certainly, other than my admiration for his rags to riches accomplishments as an immigrant (legal). If he made a driving error he is in the good company of millions of crashers, plus it appears he hit a transporter, ironically.

    • Chuck, as the saying goes, "haters gonna hate". Most of the comments are not from regular readers. Instead, as this post and the other went viral, lots of first time visitors who just jumped into to see the carnage and left their scathing messages.
