FlatSixes Goes To Ameila Island: The Brumos Museum

The new Brumos Collection in Jacksonville, Florida has not been open long, but it is already one of our favorites. Obviously that is going to be true, because it’s packed to the rafters with some of Porsche’s best race cars over the years. Thankfully, while in town for the Amelia Island festivities, Brett Sloan of Sloan Motor Cars got an opportunity to explore the museum. The Brumos Collection folks were even gracious enough to let him in to the shop area, which is usually off-limits to museum visitors.

Obviously, the collection includes a lot of the cars directly from Brumos Racing’s illustrious past. There are also a rotating cast of characters from racing’s past, including a handful of pre-war machines. With plenty of interactivity and interesting displays, a walk through the museum is like a walk through racing history. Check out Brett’s photos below, and see for yourself how great it is.
