The new Porsche Museum exhibits about 80 Porsches at any given time. That’s just a tiny fraction of the 505 porsches in their collection. So, where do all those other Porsches reside when they are not on display? Well, some are on loan, some are being repaired, others are part of the the “Museum on Wheels“. The remainder? Wow, excellent video. I would love to spend days just walking around in a place like that.
David,
Wouldn't that be great. I'd almost rather visit the storage facility than the museum.
Wow! Those are amazing stories. I, too, would love to walk through there. So much more personality to those cars than, say, Ferraris. It is interesting that they made one-off "birthday presents" for family members. I guess that's part of being a privately held company. I also liked that the tartan plaid is carried over to the Porsche stripe. I've never seen that before. Not to quibble, but the car shown driving is not the same car as the "Louise Piech Birthday Present" car. The driven car has turbo flares and rear wiper ; the birthday car does not.
