Porsche Just Launched a New Online Interactive Magazine

As Porsche grows in sales volume so do their methods to reach new and prospective owners. For years, “Christophorus”, named after the patron-saint of travelers, was the exclusive magazine for Porsche customers. Buyer’s of a new Porsche would receive their subscription in the mail for their first year of ownership. As the oldest Porsche magazine still in existence, every issue going back to the first one in 1952 has been numbered consecutively (we’re up to 380). Today, while you can still subscribe to the print version, most of its content is available for free online if you don’t mind being an issue behind.

Today, Porsche announced a new way for fans to consume content, “9:11 Magazine”. Described as a “new web TV format” Porsche plans to present what it calls entertaining and useful information about everything related to Porsche – from company history to the introduction of new models. Meant to be a supplement to “Christophorus”, “9:11 Magazine” will be published 5-times a year in both German and English.

Porsche “9:11 Magazine” First Episode

In this first episode, Porsche speaks with Walter Röhrl about the biggest challenge of his life, shows the boldest colors of the 911, takes a look back at the Transaxle era and enjoys a drive in the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid through the breathtaking Scottish Highlands. In truth, it’s just another marketing medium for Porsche, but given their production values and budget we expect it to be nothing if not entertaining.

The second episode, titled “Pure,” will be dedicated to the 911. We’ll have it here for you on FLATSIXES.com once it drops.
