The Brumos Driving Experience. What is It and How Can You Attend?

First created in 1984, and previously known as “Brumos U”, the Brumos Driving Experience is a benefit for each and every Brumos Porsche owner. Held at the driver training and vehicle dynamics test track located at the Gainesville Raceway, the Brumos Driving Experience is a complimentary benefit for anyone that purchases their Porsche (new or used) from Brumos.

The school is not meant to be a race school, but rather a high performance drivers education that allows new Porsche owners to get more comfortable with their limits and those of their Porsche in a safe environment. Taught by Hurley Haywood and Don Robertson (5-time South Atlantic Road Racing Championship winner) the course is held 7 to 8 times per year and class size is usually limited (12 to 15 students).

For those of you who didn’t purchase your Porsche from Brumos, you can still participate, if there’s room, via an open enrollment option. Open enrollment requires a safety inspection performed in the Brumos service department and costs $559 for the day (inclusive of a light breakfast and class room instruction, on track instruction and lunch).

For those of you who did purchase your Porsche from Brumos and attended the class in the past, you can take the class again for just $459; a benefit of being a graduate. More info and class dates are available here.

Learning from Hurley is Priceless

I can tell you from first hand experience that training with Hurley is priceless. The few times I’ve had the chance to ride with him on the track I’ve learned more in 5 minutes than in days in other HPDE events.

I know of no other dealer that offers a benefit like this to their customers. Hell, even if they did, they don’t have Hurley! 🙂
