Here’s The Revamped Porsche 919 Hybrid For The 2015 Season

Porsche came back to endurance racing on the world stage last year with high hopes. Alas, despite their best efforts, the team managed just one win and finished third amongst the other competitors in its class (Audi and Toyota). Looking forward to 2015 Porsche debuted the revamped 919 Hybrid last week ahead of the WEC season opener on April 12th in Silverstone, Great Britain.

While Porsche’s release didn’t provide many details, they do promise that the new 919 Hybrid is a “comprehensive evolution” for the car that made its debut in 2014. We’re not quite sure what that means as the only obvious changes we can see at the moment are to the front-end which sports a redesigned splitter and a wider, more aerodynamic nose cone. According to the minimalistic release prepared by Porsche the 919 hybrid still features the same 2-liter V4 turbocharged petrol engine from last year, combined with an electric motor powering the front wheels and two energy recovery systems.

Expect more updates as they become available.
