The last time we took a ride along in a 919 Hybrid was at night, during testing on the Circuit Paul Ricard at Le Castellet. You may remember from that post how we commented that the cockpit seemed more like a spaceship than a racecar. In this ride-along, we take a lap with Timo Bernhard around the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, TX. What’s most striking about this video is not the color of the cockpit lights, instead it’s the closing speed between the LMP1 Porsche and the lesser classes. While Porsche’s results could have been better during the race, this particular lap was quite smooth.
