Last week we felt bad about highlighting a short film from Falken Tire to criticize ALL videos created in a similar style. We’re huge fans of the Falken Tire Porsche racing team and it just happened that their video came out right when we were posting about the subject. Well, they have redeemed themselves and done so in an amazing way. The following documentary is 28 minutes of extremely well edited and produced video that shows just what goes into preparing a car and team for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. There’s a bit too much back story for my tastes, but I still feel it’s worth the watch!

Much better Falken video than previous. Longer time span allowed for better story telling with words and video. I'm amazed that such old and famous tracks like the Nurburgring and LaMans have such outdated protection on the edges of the track. A section of steel guard rail placed next to a tree was not a good decision. That cost a driver his life. I understand that you can not have safer barriers or tires around every inch of the track, but more obvious contact areas seem to be ignored. Can not the automotive mfgs and drivers speak up and bring about some change?
