Watch Porsche Ace Patrick Long Race The IMSA iRacing Laguna Seca Pro Invitational Today

Thursday afternoon, Porsche racer Patrick Long will take on a full field of stellar drivers from all over the world converging on a digital Laguna Seca circuit. Racing is currently on an indefinite hiatus, but it’s good to get an opportunity to see these pros shine against each other in iRacing. IMSA is treating this just like a real racing event, as it will be a 90-minute round at one of the trickiest and beautiful tracks on the circuit. 50 drivers across multiple classes will take the green this afternoon with live commentary from John Hindhaugh and the rest of the IMSA radio team. The racing can be streamed live from iRacing’s YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch channels, while you can watch Patrick Long’s onboard from this very website.

Not only will Long’s talent carry him, but he will be racing with the best equipment in the field, sitting in a CXC Simulations Motion Pro II for the maximum realistic feel. Long is tied for the second-winningest driver at Laguna Seca in IMSA history with five wins, the most recent of which was in 2011 running in the GT class.

Also participating from the Porsche stable are regular factory aces Nick Tandy and Laurens Vanthoor, as well as Porsche development driver Lars Kern and Porsche Junior driver Ayhancan Güven. It’s going to be a good time. Tune in!
