Watch Porsche’s Documentary About What It’s Like To Run The 24 Hours of Le Mans And the 24 Hours Of Nurburgring Back-To-Back

Everything in the world is pretty messed up right now, and there isn’t any racing going on right now, and won’t be for the foreseeable future. Thank goodness, then, that Porsche decided to release its 90-minute documentary about the week last year where Porsche’s GT team competed in two of the most demanding endurance races in the world.

It’s tough enough to be prepared for the 24 Hours of Nurburgring alone—as it is one of the most competitive GT races in the world—but to have the 24 Hours of Le Mans finishing just 6 days earlier in another country makes that difficulty all the more. It’s incredible, then, that Porsche was able to be at the front of the pack in both races. If you recall back to last summer, Porsche didn’t win either race, but was competitive and held the lead for a long time in both events. It’s a hectic schedule, but if any sports car racing team can make it happen, it’s gotta be Porsche.

For many manufacturers, this kind of competition simply isn’t possible. In fact, of the manufacturers who competed in GTE Pro at Le Mans, Porsche was the only to also compete as a factory-backed effort in the top-tier SP9 GT3 category. Not Ford, not Chevrolet, not Ferrari, no Aston Martin. Only Porsche. Being prepared for every eventuality is Porsche’s modus operandi.

So, for the next 90 minutes, just sit back, relax, and transport yourself to a time when things were a little simpler and all we had to worry about was finishing a pair of endurance races.
