Electrify America and Porsche Cars North America have decided to extend their charging agreement to cover the Macan Electric, the newest model in Porsche’s lineup. This extension means Macan Electric owners will receive one year of complimentary 30-minute charging sessions at Electrify America charging stations nationwide.
The Macan Electric comes with an 800-volt charging system that supports charging speeds of up to 270 kilowatts under ideal conditions, making it one of the faster-charging vehicles in the market. Electrify America’s charging network offers speeds up to 350 kilowatts, which is compatible with the Macan Electric’s capabilities. The vehicle also supports the Plug&Charge feature, which allows drivers to begin charging by simply plugging in. Additionally, charging can be started using the My Porsche app.
Owners will have a one-year window from their purchase date to utilize the complimentary charging sessions. To access this benefit, owners must enroll through the Porsche Charging Service process. The My Porsche app and in-vehicle navigation will assist drivers in locating charging stations, checking charger availability, and navigating to the nearest location.
