Porsche Powertrain Development Gets Some New Blood

Starting in October of this year, Jorg Kerner will take over from Dr. Heinz-Jakob Neußer as director of power train development at Porsche. The 41-year-old Audi veteran takes over at the Weissach Development Center as Neußer departs to take over power train development for the VW brand.

Of note is Kerner’s most recent position as engine developer of the power train electrification division at Audi. Looks like hybrid technology and Intelligent Performance will continue to play a big role in Porsche’s future. Please join us in welcoming Herr Kerner to Porsche.
