Wolfgang Hatz, Member of the Board of Management for Research and Development of Porsche AG said: “Rolf Frech spent 28 years at Porsche and in his last position as Head of Total Vehicle Development laid the foundation for the company’s quest for growth. We thank him for his many years of service and his commitment.” Hatz made his satisfaction with the choice of successor plain: “In the person of Michael Steiner, we have been able to fill the position of Head of Total Vehicle Development with a proven in-house product expert who has Porsche in his DNA.”
Succeeding Dr. Michael Steiner as Head of the Panamera model line on November 1 will be Dr. Gernot Döllner (42). Döllner started with Porsche in 1998 and was Head of the Vehicle Concepts and Package Department for all Porsche models before becoming Head of Product Strategy at the beginning of this year. Dr. Stefan Weckbach (35) was appointed as his successor and therefore as new Head of Product Strategy. Weckbach has worked at Porsche since 2008 where his last position was as Head of the Board of Management office of Porsche AG.
In their new positions Döllner and Weckbach will report to the CEO of Porsche AG, Matthias Müller. We wish them all the best of luck in their new positions and can’t wait to see what comes out of Bentley with Ralf French on board.
