Porsche Delivers Nearly 11,000 Vehicles World Wide in August

Porsche continues on its growth track with a 21% increase in customer deliveries for August, 2012. It wasn’t just one area that Porsche saw growth in. Rather, all sales regions contributed. The US went up 38.6%, while China grew more than 28%.

1559 911 models were delivered to customers representing a 29.5% growth over August of last year. The Boxster came in at 850 delivered units, but didn’t hold a candle to the 6,311 Cayennes delivered (a 36% increase over last year).

“Currently, the automotive markets are developing quite differently: uncertainty in Europe, competitive pressures in China, confidence in the U.S., growth in the Middle East and South-East Asia,” said Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG. “Thanks to our strong brand, along with the most attractive range of models of all time, we are still on the course for growth. At the auto show in Paris, we shall surprise the world with an additional product highlight.”
