Porsche Canada Names New CEO

Early last month Porsche announced a “shuffling” of the management deck across a number of regions. Among the changes was the movement of Joe Lawrence from the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Porsche Cars Canada to Chief Operating Officer of Porsche Cars North America. Taking over Joe’s responsibilities is Alexander Pollic (46), currently Vice President Sales Network Management and Development of Porsche AG, on September 1st, 2013.

Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, comments on Mr. Pollich’s advancement:

“We need executive manager that combine strategic and operational expertise to successfully implement our Strategy 2018. International management experience is a key requirement in today’s globalized world.”

Porsche Cars Canada was formed in April 2008 as a standalone company and employs a team of 24 in sales, aftersales, finance, and marketing. In 2012, Porsche sold more than 3,000 new cars in Canada.

New VP for Sales Network Management and Development Worldwide

At the beginning of September, Barbara Vollert (50) will become Vice President Sales Network Management and Development of Porsche AG in Stuttgart. In 2001, she has joined Porsche in the quality department for methods and processes before she has taken over responsibility of the sales network qualification as Director. Ms. Vollert reports directly to Mr. Maier.

He underlines: “Barbara Vollert has a proven track record of long lasting and international management experience.”
