Porsche Cars Canada Sales By Model: March 2018

Like PCNA, Porsche Cars Canada has reported their best first quarter in the history of the brand. Significantly higher 911 and 718 sales than the same period in 2017 bodes well for Canadian dealers. Likewise, Panamera sales peaked, while Cayenne and Macan sales waned slightly. The overall result, however, is 657 Porsches sold in March across all of Canada. That translates to an overall year-to-date increase of 6.1% over 2017, which is certainly respectable gains.

Panamera deliveries have continued unabated into Canada, selling three times as many last month as in the same period of 2017. Likewise, Boxster sales have reached treble size, and 911 sales are a good margin over double. It would seem that in portions of Canada, the winter is starting to dissipate and warmer weather is in the offing. Sports cars and sporty sedans are hot right now, while SUVs have lightly decreased. Macan is still a big seller for our neighbors to the north, but perhaps the market has been sated, and those who wanted them already have taken delivery.

“These strong sales allowed the brand to register it’s best first quarter,” said Marc Ouayoun, President and CEO, Porsche Cars Canada. “Additionally, the new 911 GT3 RS and surprise Cross Turismo concept reveals captured the spotlight during their world premiere at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in early March.”

Porsche Cars Canada dealer sales of certified pre-owned models in the country continued to soar at 216 vehicles last month, up 26% year-over-year.
