Porsche Cars North America Sales By Model For May 2015

Yesteray, Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), announced May 2015 sales of 4,268 vehicles, slightly more than a 7% decline from the same period last year. This marks the first month in 2015 where Porsche has not bested sales from the same period in the previous years.

Looking through the chart above, the decline can be attributed reduced deliveries in the Macan, Panamera and Boxster/Cayman model line-ups. 911/918 deliveries were almost an exact duplicated of last year at 861 total vs. 864 in the same period during 2014. The only shining star for May was the Cayenne model line. It experienced a strong month with a 7.6% increase, compared to May 2014, for a total of 1,392 units sold.

Despite May’s numbers, Porsche year-to-date vehicle sales are up 11.1% over 2014 with a total of 20,915 vehicles delivered.

Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sales were 1,355 for May 2015, up 36.5% compared to May 2014. Interestingly, this is the strongest sales month since the inception of the Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned program.
