It’s hard to believe that October is over already. This year has absolutely flown by, and Porsche’s sales have expanded incredibly across the first ten months of 2018. The company has a lot to be proud of, including selling more cars than ever before. October 2018 was the best October in the German sports car maker’s entire history here in the U.S. Porsche has continually managed to get more people into their showrooms, and convert those people into new Porsche owners.
Porsche’s iconic 911 sold in significantly higher numbers, selling 14.2% more than in the same month of 2017. Also contributing to last month’s growth was a near 10% spike in Macan sales—which accounted for over 40% of PCNA’s sales in October—and a slight increase in Cayenne sales. The new Cayenne is now fully rolled out and as more of the full-sized SUV roll into dealers, surely sales will only continue to grow.
Disappointingly, 718 and Panamera sales were both down year-on-year for the month of October. In spite of this, year-to-date sales for both model lines are still higher versus 2017 across the same period.
“Porsche is having an exciting year as we find new ways to connect with customers,” said Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO of PCNA. “Whether it is the powerful new Cayenne or the expanded selection of enthusiast-focused 911 variants, we are thrilled that more drivers and their families want to add a Porsche crest to their lives.”
Porsche Cars North America also moved a total of 1,715 certified pre-owned vehicles in October. That is a slight increase over October of last year.
