Porsche Cars North America Sales By Model: October 2017

Following an upswing in sales for September, Porsche Cars North America, Inc (PCNA) has continued riding that wave of improved sales, posting strong October sales numbers as well. A total of 4,715 units were sold in this market across October 2017, which accounts for a 4.6% increase over the same period in 2016. Year to date PCNA sales are up 2.7%.

Klaus Zellmer, President, and CEO of PCNA:

“Porsche took care of business again this month. This is our ninth record month this year as we approach the finish line for 2017. On to November.”

Porsche’s 991.2 generation 911 has finally ramped up production and deliveries to sate at least some of the demand, as October sales of the iconic sports car were up over 55%. The new Panamera is continuing a string of successful sales months with a 118% increase in sales year-on-year to a whopping 644 units last month. While Macan sales dipped slightly compared to last year, the model is still up 16.3% year-to-date.

718 Boxster/Cayman and Cayenne sales remained about the same this month as they did a year ago, practically down to the unit. Porsche’s SUV models in October accounted for a staggering 63.2% of PCNA’s sales.

CPO Sales Numbers

Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle sales in the U.S. were at 1,658 units, a 26.7% increase over October 2016. Year-to-date, CPO sales are up 10% with 15,208 deliveries for 2017.
