Earlier this week, J.D. Power announced the results of their annual Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) which examines problems experienced during the past 12-months by original owners of 2014 model-year vehicles. Porsche shared the top spot in this year’s study alongside Lexus (Porsche took 5th in the same study two years ago and 2nd place last year).
The study polled 35,186 original owners of 2014 model-year vehicles after three years of ownership to use as their basis. Overall dependability is determined by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles (PP100), with a lower score reflecting higher quality. The study covers 177 specific problems grouped into eight major vehicle categories.
The study found that the 10 top-selling 2014 model-year vehicles average 134 PP100, which is significantly better than the industry average of 156 PP100. Lexus and Porsche both scored 110 PP100 ending with a tie to rank highest in vehicle dependability among all nameplates.

How bizarre! These ratings simply don't appear just.
How can Powertrain dependability and Accessory dependability hold the same values?!
I suppose you could always 'phone home' should you experience a mechanical instead of reliably driving there for what is a cars essential purpose.
