Porsche will participate in Retro Classics 2025, a classic car event taking place from February 27 to March 2, 2025, at the Stuttgart exhibition center. The German automaker will showcase a selection of vehicles in Hall 1, displaying the connection between Porsche’s historical legacy and its current innovations. Achim Stejskal, Head of Porsche Heritage and Museum, stated that the exhibition aims to prepare the brand’s past for the future, highlighting the relationship between iconic models and the brand’s ongoing evolution.

On March 2, the Porsche Museum will host a panel discussion featuring notable figures such as Le Mans winner Timo Bernhard and former racing engineer Norbert Singer. They will discuss the Porsche Le Mans Prototype 2000, a project that was halted in 1999 during development due to cost concerns but has recently been revived. The LMP 2000, which features a naturally aspirated V10 engine, will make its first official appearance at the trade fair.

Also, the Porsche Carrera GT will be highlighted, marking its 25th anniversary. This mid-engine sports car, introduced in 2000, shares its V10 engine with the LMP 2000 and showcases Porsche’s commitment to lightweight construction through its carbon fiber body.

The Porsche 959 will also be featured, celebrating its 40th anniversary. This model, produced between 1986 and 1988, was a pioneer in automotive technology, known for its aerodynamic design and performance capabilities.

Porsche will also commemorate the 60-year history of the Targa body style by displaying a 1967 Porsche 911 2.0 Targa alongside the current 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition. This exhibition illustrates Porsche’s ability to blend tradition with modern design.

Throughout the event, the Porsche Heritage and Museum team will share details on their initiatives under the theme “Mission Future Heritage.” A special talk will take place on March 1, featuring insights from key team members. Visitors will also have opportunities to engage with the exhibition through interactive displays and a 360-degree tour, showcasing historical artifacts and models.

Those who are local will want to make a stop in Hall 3, where Porsche will exhibit selected 911 models, including the 911 Turbo RSR 2.1, which was the first turbocharged Porsche race car.
