Porsche Penske Motorsport heads to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway focused on securing the manufacturers’, teams’, and drivers’ titles as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship reaches its penultimate round. The factory squad will field two Porsche 963s in the six-hour “Battle on the Bricks,” with the venue serving as a home race for the North American team. Customer entries include JDC-Miller MotorSports with factory driver Nico Müller and AO Racing’s “Rexy” 911 GT3 R in GTD Pro.
Porsche leads the manufacturers’ standings, and the No. 6 and No. 7 crews top the team and drivers’ titles. “At our Penske home race in Indianapolis, we hope to see the Porsche 963 back at the front,” said Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President Porsche Motorsport. Urs Kuratle, Director Factory Motorsport LMDh, added that if performance is equal, strategy, pit work, and driver skill will decide the outcome.
