Porsche has once again claimed top honors in J.D. Power’s 2025 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study, besting all other luxury brands in the premium segment. This is the second year running that Porsche has led the annual APEAL survey and the fifth time the sports car maker has finished first since 2020.

In the vehicle-specific rankings, the all-electric Taycan earned best-in-class recognition in the upper midsize premium category for the third year in a row. The iconic 911 also came out on top in the premium sporty car segment, scoring 902 points out of a possible 1,000. Porsche’s overall score of 890 points outpaced the premium brand average of 881.

The APEAL study measures owners’ emotional connection to their new vehicles across 37 attributes, covering everything from cabin comfort to acceleration thrill. Responses from nearly 93,000 owners of 2025-model cars were gathered after 90 days of ownership between June 2024 and May 2025.

“Every Porsche owner should feel that driving our cars is a special experience,” said Timo Resch, president and CEO of Porsche Cars North America. “Customer feedback drives our development, helping us refine today’s models and create the next generation of sports cars.”
