Update From The Publisher

Jake Schaaf, Publisher

Dear FlatSixes.com Family,

I wanted to provide a brief message on what drives us at Wrecked Media Group and give you some insight into what you can expect to see happening here on FlatSixes.com. First and foremost, we are NOT a venture capital group and at this time we’ve taken in no capital from outside investors. We’re fully funded by and 100% owned by the WMG team!

We know it’s a concern in the industry when websites change ownership and become part of a larger “group” because of the history some of those VC groups have. Rest assured, WMG is full of experienced automotive journalists and enthusiasts and our goal is the creation or revitalization of niche properties covering the automotive world. While we do need to try and be profitable, that’s only so we can add staff and our group of websites to help increase our areas of coverage. We’re not beholding to bankers or investors that don’t know the difference between a 964 and a 993, we’re here for YOU, our readers!

Over the next few weeks, the steady stream of articles you’ve come to expect will return to normal and the regular delivery of the Flat Sixes Newsletter will resume. In addition to Bradley Brownell remaining onboard officially as our Editor-At-Large we’ll have Chad Kirchner, who is the WMG VP of Content, and Stefan Ogbac our associate editor regularly providing new content as well (plus a regular stream of content from some extremely talented freelancers).

The team has been working on some plans to expand Flat Sixes with unique coverage and content, and I’m confident that you will enjoy what’s in store.

Sincerely,

Jacob “Jake” Schaaf

  • I was excited to finally get a newsletter in my mailbox from you. I was puzzled about what had happened to one of my favorite newsletters since I last received it in February.
Welcome back. I look forward to reading interesting Porsche articles I've come to rely on your newsletter to provide me.

  • Nice so see Flat Sixes back. Keep away from the product promotions for the free items you receive,
more air cooled the better, stay timely and stay different.
