As part of Porsche’s 70 Year Anniversary celebration, Driver’s Selection has added a number of new items to their shop. BiG deal, right? Actually, it is, at least to us. We’re big fans of the Driver’s Selection product and we especially like finding items that are useful in our day-to-day lives, aren’t too expensive or overly branded. Here are three items we found that we thought you might enjoy. We asked Porsche to send them to us so we could review them for you and they were happy to oblige.
Thermal Beaker in Lava Orange: $50
Some may still consider drinking in your Porsche sacrilege but chances are, if you have a new model, yours has a cup holder. This sturdy thermos is designed to fit perfectly. The sleek design and rich glossy orange color will look great in any model and the double walled stainless steel will keep your
hot drinks hot and cold drinks colder longer. At least it did for us when we tried it out on a road-trip to Maine. Part of the “Essential” Collection, the beaker is available in three new colors including Lava Orange (our color of choice), Lizard Green and Aluminum.
Martini Racing Collection Umbrella XL: $90
Whether you’re at a rally, road race, or just out and about you may not be able to stop the rain
but you can stay dry in style. Flick the thumb switch to open and you’ll immediately be reminded of
that solid “thunk” you hear when closing the door of an early 911. The design features the
legendary Martini color scheme of blue, red and turquoise with a printed motif of the 917 long
tail. These cheery colors will brighten your mood on the even the gloomiest of days. The high
quality construction features fiber glass rods; a gust of wind is not going to flip this baby inside
out easily. We keep one or two Driver’s Selection Umbrellas in each of our Porsches.
Men’s sweat jacket- 911 GT3 RS: $199
This lightweight comfortable jacket is perfect for a spring or fall day at the track or driver’s
education. The design is inspired by the 911 GT3 RS. The details and seams feature Porsche’s
newest color, Lizard green, but are subtle in their presentation. While the inside of the jacket does scream “Challengers Wanted” it can’t be seen when wearing and the branding is subtle with simple black embroidery across the chest. When ordering keep in mind that sizing is European and you’ll want to go up at least one size, possibly two.

Is that cup metal or plastic inside?
Hey, Rob,
It’s metal. Double walled stainless steel.
