Ben Cissell attended his first vintage race in 2009. He was amazed at what he saw, and immediately hooked. He was familiar with the idea of vintage racing, it’s just that he always thought it was staged; a bunch of older, expensive race cars doing choreographed laps around the track. As most of you already know he couldn’t have been further from the truth. Vintage racing is real. Those living, breathing pieces of history are on the track letting it all hang out and just inches away from disaster. Ben thought, ʻIf I am a sports car guy and have no idea what vintage racing is, then the majority of the car world population must be in the same boat.ʼ He decided to do something about it and Vintage Racing Today was born.

When Ben first contacted us and asked if we would review his film we were a bit hesitant. Not because we didn’t think we would like it, but because it wasn’t Porsche specific. So when the DVD arrived I wasn’t really sure what I would do with it. That changed right after seeing the opening racing sequence. Filmed in full HD with some of the most interesting angles we ever seen for GoPro cameras I felt like I was in the race. If you like motorsport, you’re going to enjoy this film (and there are plenty of Porsches to go around).
