Porsche 911 Red Book was first published in August of 2000 and covered all 911 models from 1965 through 1999. The 2nd Edition, published late in 2004 added on another 6-years of production and carried us through the 2005 model year. That book is now out of print with used copies trading hands for more than $200 dollars each. Today, we received a review copy of Porsche 911 Red Book 3rd Edition an it’s everything you would expect.

If you’re not familiar with this handy little guide, Porsche 911 Red Book is a pocket sized reference manual that provides 911 owners, and prospective buyers, everything from specs, option codes, production numbers, date codes and more. Want to know how many versions of your particular 911 were produced, this book can help.

While there are many other books on the market that provide a much more in-depth look at the 911 and its history, there isn’t another book I can think of that provides such a handy reference guide in one neat, well organized package. At 208 pages long, this small paperback is filled with quality color photos surrounded by all the information you could ever need when a quick look at accurate data is needed. • Hi!
Just wondering if you have had a copy of my new book, "Professor Porsche's Wars", for review. If not please let me know and provide a mailing address.

    Thanks and best,

    Karl L.

  • For 356 owners with a mild interest in 911's it would be helpful if the price of these various 911 books were included in the discussion of the books.

  • Hey there, have you seen a copy of my book "Porsche Carrera: the air cooled era 1953-1998" published September 2014? If not I will get Crowood Press to mail you one. Cheers! Johnny

    • Hi, Johny,

We get so many things coming our way it's hard to keep track. With that said, I don't think we've seen this one yet. Your publisher can use the contact page to get in touch with us. Thanks for thinking of us!
