• HA! I think Jerry King has been hanging around my office.....

• Why do you require us to click the link to view the punchline of a cartoon? So annoying. I have stopped looking at the cartoons altogether. Sad, since something that was very entertaining is now just a wasted space for me.

    We do so for a number of reasons.

    1. The newsletter, as well as all the content on the site, as I'm sure you know, is provided for free. The only way we can offset the costs associated with producing the site is to sell ads. To sell ads, we need visitors to the site. No visitors to the site means no more newsletter and no more site. We've though about a paid subscription model, but like it this way. Your little click to see the cartoon matters.

    2. We pay the cartoonist a decent sum of money to make those cartoons for our readers. You can't find them anywhere else. As a result, see #1 above.

    3. Lastly, and more importantly, we want people to share the cartoons on social media and with friends. Unfortunately, the current email technology doesn't allow for that so we need you to come to that site. Hopefully, once there you'll not only enjoy the cartoon and share it with friends, but look at a few of our other stories, too.

    We're very sorry the act of clicking through to the site is a hardship for you. Hopefully, you'll be able to find a way to continue to enjoy them.
