Porsche Design hopes at least eleven of you will. Yesterday marked the launch of what Porsche Design says is “one of the most exclusive writing tools for pen aficionados: the fountain pen P’3135 Solid Gold Limited Edition.”

Limited to just elven pieces worldwide, Porsche Design’s newest über-luxury item will be available mid-April at select Porsche Design stores around the world. Milled out of a single piece of solid pure 14-/585 carat gold, the pen has an 18-750/carat gold nib (size M) specially designed for the Solid fountain pen. Just so you don’t forget this is a limited edition Porsche you’re holding in your hand, the Porsche name is discretely engraved on the surface of the nib and a limited edition number is laser etched on the barrel. Each pen comes complete with presentation box and a gold plated tag that carries the number of your pen in the limited series of eleven.
If you think you might be in the market for a solid gold pen from Porsche be prepared to pay for it. The press release we read gave a price of €25,000 or the equivalent of $27,200 / £18,325.
