Porsche Design C’SEED 201 Television Installed in Ibiza, Spain

In the iconic words of Jurassic Park’s John Hammond, “We’ve spared no expense.”  Never have these words been more appropriate than in regard to the installation of this C’SEED 201 Television by Porsche Design.  The installation, claimed to be the first retail sale [we haven’t been able to confirm this independently], was performed by Florida based Advanced Home Theater (AHT).

Contacted by a customer in Ibiza, Spain, AHT was tasked with developing the best outdoor entertainment system possible, sparing no expense.  The end result was, of course, to select the worlds largest LCD television, the C’SEED 201” telescoping model, as designed and developed by Porsche Design.

The accompanying video displays an elegant and near seamless installation, delivering exactly what the customer desired.  While the repetition of the music can get slightly annoying, it is worth watching.  At first glance, the outdoor terrace of the villa appears open and unobstructed, but when desired, at the push of a button, the C’SEED Porsche Design television rises from the ground.  Taking only 15 seconds to come to its full height of 15 feet, the LCD panels then unfold in only 25 seconds, fully erecting in about the time takes to start your 991 Carrera Cabriolet, put the top down, and drive off.

With an all-in cost of somewhere north of 7 figures [we’re estimating based on a reported cost of $845,000 for the TV alone] including installation, the television isn’t a small chunk of change.  Then again, when you are sparing no expense, it does best not to count pennies.  If you figure you need a 201 inch outdoor folding television designed by Porsche Design, then perhaps AHT are the people to call, as they now have a proven track record.
