Stop Motion Tear-Down of Porsche Carrera 3.2 Engine Is Worth A 2nd Watch

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 4-years since this video first debuted, but it has. Back in July of 2013 the team at was then known as Hoeing Motoren, now known as Wicked Sixes, mesmerized a large number of Porsche fans with their incredibly detailed stop-motion video of a Porsche Carrera 3.2 liter engine being torn down.

Earlier today, Porsche introduced “9:11 Magazine” and promised to entertain us with “useful information about everything related to Porsche”. They weren’t joking. Their initial release said there would be five (5) episodes per year. Their intro launched Episode 1 and now, just a few short hours later, we’re already seeing Episode 2. Featured as part of this newest Episode is a re-cut of the stop motion video we introduced to you nearly 4-year ago. Gone are some of the quirky overlays and Porsche has edited the original film to an even higher quality (hard to believe) than the original.

After we first debuted this film back in 2013, we quickly were able to get some details on how it was made. Later, we found out a sequel was on the way (the build-up of a 3.8 liter Porsche engine). We’re still waiting on the sequel, but the original and/or Porsche’s version above is definitely worth a 2nd watch.
