When’s the best time to sell Your 911?

For the past few months we’ve brought you a number of different videos from JP&Co including “The Best Time to Buy a Porsche 911“, “What’s the Best Time to Buy a Porsche 911 Turbo” and “How to Get The Most Bang For Your 911 Purchase Buck“. What I liked about those videos, and the reason we featured them, is that they were filled with analytical and quantitative data that backed up the thought process and proclamations in each video. The video below is different.

Here are the topics covered when considering selling your 911

  • Timing of maintenance and wear parts
  • Timing of new/next generation release date
  • Tax implication for both property (excise) and sales tax
  • Timing. When to sell is important
  • Private sale or trade-in
  • Warranty

Besides that, there’s no real data. Admittedly, there are several broad, high-level subjects or topics that everyone should think of when selling their 911 (or any car for that matter), but there’s no quantitative analysis this time to back things up.

That’s My Opinion. What’s Yours?

I especially didn’t agree with some of the broad generalizations about the buyer profile and owners not caring about what engine is in their 911. I know my 911 isn’t a fashion statement and the tens of thousands of people that subscribe to this site would suggest yours isn’t either. Anyway, that’s just my opinion. What did you think?
