The current 911 has been kicking around Porsche showrooms since 2011. Even though the 991 has received a fresh turbocharged drivetrain and a good fascia refresh, it’s getting a bit long in the tooth as sports car lifecycles go. As luck would have it, Porsche has announced that a new generation of 911 will launch this Tuesday at the Porsche Experience Center ahead of the 2018 Los Angeles International Auto Show. There will likely be a premier selection of dealership owners, Porsche influencers, and media in attendance, but Porsche is thankfully going to be streaming the event to the entire world via the company’s new NewsTV.Porsche.de proprietary video site. You can also watch it right here at the embedded video below.
Because this new model is so important to the US market, and southern California specifically, the launch will be conducted in English. The event gets under way on Tuesday, 27 November, at 8pm local time. If you’re interested in seeing the future of Porsche sports cars, join us in watching the live stream. The new Elfer is coming!

Bigger , wider, and more expensive! Automatic so the Starbucks is easier to manage! Special editions so Porsche can charge more! Where is Weissach anyway and why do they keep bringing up some sort of Ring?
